In February 2023 we lost an integral member of our family Amanda Olley who was Kyle's Mum and Neil's Wife; In streams she wen't by MotherDemon and always donned a purple butterfly profile picture. She was a shining bright star smack bang center in the middle of our community and journey and her presense is dearly missed each and every day.

Creating this incredible community and event we aim to honor her memory and any cancer warrior as we Game, Art, Stream, Scream and Sing whilst raising money for the charities doing the best they can to bring comfort, support and love to those going through the horrendous journey that is battling cancer.

In 2024, Chasing Butterflies ran their trial year and aimed to raise £500 over the course of the 2 week period. They smashed it out the park within 5 days of the 14 day event and ended raising a fantastic £1,750 for Macmillan Cancer Support with just 6 fundraisers and 15 overall community members in their discord who knew the event existed.

Our Long Term Goal

Our goal is build a positive community and event that is a household name that manages to gain the traction of hundreds of fundraisers each year and raises tens of thousands of dollars for charity. Chasing Butterflies runs on a community system where your opinion and input matters to help us expand, improve and grow our event year by year.
